Uche Sparks Dominant Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in succession.
The Shelbourne team that had finished their league season proved outmatched even for a largely rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were further depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

Shelbourne were hanging on for dear life. Full-back Kameron Ledwidge was lucky to avoid a booking for two robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the crossbar with a header from a corner.
Pino Seals the Contest
The contest was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
